Erosion Control Services
HydroSpec's projects managers will help you decide which erosion control solution and products are best for your site. We provide erosion control and Best Management Practices (BMPs) to prevent erosion problems in:
- South Carolina
- North Carolina
Best Management PracticesWe make a point to keep ourselves up to date with local regulations and use this information to better serve our customers. We use a variety of erosion control devices so we will be equipped to implement any erosion control measures needed. Our project managers are dedicated to your project and will provide service within 24 hours, if not on the same day.
HydroseedingHydroseeding is a vastly superior option when it comes to seeding. While it can be used for many reasons, it’s particularly useful for erosion control applications as it holds moisture and shelters against various weather conditions. HydroSpec uses several different formulas of seed depending on the needs of our clients. Straw Blowing is also recommended to protect your seed investment. HydroSpec has machines that will lay the straw ten times faster and use 20% less straw than hand spreading!
Compliance Punch Out WorkOften, after a job is “completed”, other compliance issues arise. Most contractors pack up, leave, and don’t give the success of the project a second thought. At HydroSpec, we take it one step further and help our clients in meeting compliance requirements. Whether it be minor grading, raising and grouting manholes, or adjusting and cleaning ponds, our team will see you through to completion.
Issuing Authority Liaison
Being one of the largest erosion control companies in the southeast, HydroSpec has relationships with the EPD in your state and communicates with them on your behalf. This allows you to focus on other aspects of your projects knowing that Stormwater and Erosion Control issues are being tracked and communicated to local agencies.
- HydroSpec will file all EPD reports and Notices of Intent/Termination.
- In the event a complaint is filed with the state against a project, HydroSpec will work directly with EPD officials until the complaint is resolved.
- If a consent order is issued by the state, HydroSpec will negotiate the parameters with the state and handle implementation of any mandated actions.
Whether you’re looking for erosion control, stormwater management, or an issuing authority liaison, we’re here to help. Contact us for more information from our well-trained project and account managers!

ECBs are made of plastic fibers, straw, or other plant residue which is used to help prevent runoff until vegetation is established.
We offer a complete assortment of geotextile fabrics that are used depending on the case and project. We have both woven and non-woven fabrics in varying weights, so we are ready for any job.
Driveway fabrics can be used for roads, parking lots, or to stabilize material staging areas. In addition, they can also be used for repairing/installing a gravel driveway to save both time and money.
HydroSpec uses its own professional crews to prepare sites for implementation of erosion control solutions. Our team can decrease the time needed to remove debris, place rock, or trench silt fences.
This bonding agent is mixed into hydroseed and coagulates fine silt particles found in water, thus separating the sediment from the water.
Runoff can turn into a big issue, but if you are able to increase surface roughness, you will be able to slow down the effects of runoff. HydroSpec installs rock, coarse stone, or boulders on the edge of a bank or water shore to decrease runoff and provide shoreline erosion control.
